Rewards for completing the quest: bottlecaps, vegetables, access to a workshop. You will receive vegetables as a reward and you'll be able to turn the greenhouse into a settlement. Go to Graygarden and talk to Supervisor White. To do it, use the elevator in the room next to the switch. Your last task is to return to your current employer. You'll gain access to the console that controls the flow by pumping all of the water out of the room.
To reach it, jump into the water and get through the partially flooded door. You'll see the fourth switch right in front of you. When you activate it, the water level will decrease enough for you to see the third switch. The second pump can be found on the other side of the building. The first switch is located in the room you're currently in. A group of mirelurks will appear each time. Each of them will lower the water level and uncover new ramps and corridors. I had to go two play hours back on mine.You need to activate four pumps that will get water out of the building. Good luck, hope you find a working save without having to go to far back. once you finding a working save you can just reload that save file (from before the console cheats) and just play from there.
If it works and you can enter vault 81 then you found a working save. If it crashes start again with an even older save. I don't know what causes the issue but it seems to be that something causes a crash in Vault 81 AFTER Vim and Vigor has been started but it is save specific not mod induced. look at what they did to make the elevator and can make a mod for a concrete version lol. So the only way I found to fix the problem was to just walking backwards on my saves until I found one that wasn't broken. As soon as youve pressed the button stand on the large round platform (the same one as in the prologue).

I even attempted to use "tcl" to go the through the secret vault and enter that way but it still crashes. I removed all my mods except for SS2 and SS2 Extended (and required frameworks), but I still get the crash. It occurs while taking the elevator down into the vault 100% of the time. When ever entering Vault-81, I get a CTD.
